- Responsibilities
- Mike is a main board Director of PAC Solutions and has responsibility for the delivery of a range of property and facility management consulting services.
- Professional Experience
- After qualifying as a building services engineer Mike began his corporate career in the early 1980s with the Property Department of IBM. He held several Property and Facility Management positions including being responsible for the UK Headquarters of IBM and the marketing and services buildings in London and Basingstoke. Mike was one of the executive team that led the spin-off of the IBM property department to form Procord, which became a leader in the provision of Facility Management services in the UK. Mike was the Managing Director of the Procord Commercial Business Unit and, upon the acquisition of Procord by Johnson Controls in the mid 1990s Mike assumed the global responsibility for the IBM Account and development of the FM product. In 1997 Mike took a one year’s sabbatical and obtained an MSc in Facility and Environmental Management at University College London.
Mike joined CBRE as a FM consultant in 1999 and in June 2000 he was appointed as the Senior Director responsible for the leadership of the Corporate Facilities Management business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2002 Mike’s responsibilities were increased to incorporate the Asset Management business in the UK and after the merger with Insignia Richard Ellis in 2003 he was appointed as the Chairman of the combined Asset Management business.
